An Italian manufacturer, one ferry crossing from Durrës

We manufacture in Fontanelle (Treviso), in north-east Italy, and Albania is closer than the map suggests: a truck to Bari and the Bari–Durrës ferry bring the goods straight to Durrës. Italian products carry weight in the Albanian market, and a good part of the construction sector already works in Italian — but the real argument is simpler. You are buying from the factory that makes the door, not from an importer's catalogue.

The leaf, the frame, the architraves and the lacquering are all done in the same building, including our own spray booth. That is why a RAL shade agreed today can be repeated two years later when you order one extra leaf for a damaged opening — and why responsibility for the result sits in one place instead of being passed along a supply chain.

Customs and paperwork: the part that decides your timeline

Albania is outside the EU, so the shipment clears customs. This is not an obstacle, but it is a step that has to be planned — and most delays we have seen elsewhere come from documents prepared after the truck has left rather than before.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver interior doors to Albania?

Yes, to the whole country. The standard route is a truck to Bari and the Bari–Durrës ferry, then road transport to site.

How does customs work for imports from Italy?

Albania is not an EU member, so goods clear customs. Under the EU–Albania Stabilisation and Association Agreement, goods of preferential EU origin enter free of customs duty: an origin declaration on the invoice is sufficient for consignments up to €6,000, and we issue an EUR.1 certificate above that value. Albanian VAT is paid on import by the importer.

What documents do you provide?

Commercial invoice, packing list with sizes and weights, origin declaration or EUR.1 certificate, and the CMR or shipping document. They are prepared before the goods leave, not after.

How much do the doors cost?

From €395 per door excluding VAT: a laminate leaf in a standard size with frame, architraves and basic hardware. RAL-lacquered and routed models cost more. Transport and customs are always separate lines in the quotation.

Can you supply a whole residential building?

Yes. On large orders we produce in phased deliveries that follow the site, keeping the same RAL shade, the same model and the same hardware from the first floor to the last.

Who installs the doors in Albania?

Your joiner or main contractor. We supply the measuring sheet, hardware, fitting instructions and technical support by phone or video call. Doors arrive labelled room by room.

In which currency do you invoice?

In euro, by bank transfer: a deposit on order confirmation and the balance before the goods leave.

Do you work with hotels on the coast?

Yes. For hotels and rental residences we usually combine laminate in guestrooms and corridors, solid-core acoustic leaves where noise matters, and EI fire-rated doors with documentation where the fire strategy requires them.
