Reinforced internal structure where the panel has to carry screens, brackets, furniture or heavy graphics. The reinforcement goes in at the factory, not on site.
A honeycomb panel is a sandwich: two skins with a honeycomb core between them. It takes compression and bending very well, but a screw into the honeycomb core will not hold, because there is no solid timber there to bite into. That is the physical limit of the product, and ignoring it is the most common way to drop a 55-inch screen the day before the opening.
The reinforced panel PZL exists precisely for that: at the fixing points there is material that holds. You need it for screens and monitors, brackets and cantilevered shelves, hung furniture, signage and large rigid graphics, handrails and bearing points.
The operating rule never changes: reinforcement is decided in advance. It has to go in while the panel is open in the factory. After that, with the stand standing, all that is left is brackets bolted through from the outside or free-standing floor structures — both uglier and dearer than the reinforcement that would have cost a few euros.
Every panel that leaves our plant in Fontanelle, near Treviso, is built the same way. These construction details are what decide whether a honeycomb panel lasts one season or ten.
Knot-free and made only from full-length battens. Knots are where a frame breaks and pieced battens open up over time, so we don't use either.
High grammage, perforated: it transfers load between the two skins and keeps the panel flat after dozens of build-up and dismantle cycles.
On every single panel. It lets gases escape during pressing and cooling — without venting the panel bows, and you only find out at the show.
white wood adhesive, together with sanded skins. That is the only way the bond is even across the whole surface, with no dead zones that give way in transit.

These are two answers to two different problems, and they get confused constantly. 50 mm solves a problem of span: a tall wall, free on one side, that deflects under its own weight. Reinforcement solves a problem of anchorage: one specific point of the surface has to carry a concentrated load.
A 50 mm panel with no reinforcement will not hold a screen any better than a 40 mm one: what changes is overall stiffness, not what the screw grips. If the project has both problems — a tall wall and hung screens — you need both, and that is worth saying at enquiry stage.
Standard sizes are always in stock. We normally ship within 7 days of order confirmation and in practice almost always sooner: in exhibition work the enquiry arrives from one day to the next, and we are set up for that.
For deliveries outside Italy we agree the build-up slot, the customs paperwork where it applies and the transport documents with you in advance.
Not safely: in the honeycomb core the screw finds no solid timber. For hung loads you need the reinforced panel, with reinforcement at the fixing points.
Not cleanly. It goes in at the factory while the panel is open. On a standing stand all that is left is bolted-through brackets or free-standing floor structures.
No: 50 mm adds stiffness over long spans, reinforcement gives grip at the fixing points. They are different problems.
Sizes, quantities and finish: with those three things we normally send a written quote within 24 working hours. We work in English, French, German and Italian.
