Electrical panel: the cabling runs inside the section

Prepared in production to take cable runs inside the panel section. No surface trunking, no chasing a wall that is already standing with an angle grinder.

What the electrical panel is for

On a stand the electrics always come last: spotlights over the graphics, screens, sockets at the counter, power to the display cases. If the wall was not prepared, the cable ends up going one of two bad ways — surface trunking, which ruins a wall that was designed to read as continuous, or a chase cut after the fact in a panel that is already up, which weakens the panel and fills half the hall with dust.

The electrical panel PEL settles this in the factory: the preparation for the cable run is made inside, while the panel is still open. The result is a clean wall with services that are invisible but still accessible.

What you have to tell us when you order is where the cables come out: the exit points, and any reinforcement around them, are set during production. It is the only information we need — and the only one whose absence forces reworking later.

How the panel is built

Every panel that leaves our plant in Fontanelle, near Treviso, is built the same way. These construction details are what decide whether a honeycomb panel lasts one season or ten.

Finger-jointed spruce frame

Knot-free and made only from full-length battens. Knots are where a frame breaks and pieced battens open up over time, so we don't use either.

Perforated honeycomb core

High grammage, perforated: it transfers load between the two skins and keeps the panel flat after dozens of build-up and dismantle cycles.

Edge venting

On every single panel. It lets gases escape during pressing and cooling — without venting the panel bows, and you only find out at the show.

Class 1 adhesive

white wood adhesive, together with sanded skins. That is the only way the bond is even across the whole surface, with no dead zones that give way in transit.

What it gets combined with

The PEL is almost always used alongside the others: the runs of wall in standard panels, the electrical panels where the services go, the reinforced panels where the screens hang. Because every family shares the same perimeter grooves, they sit in the same wall with no adaptation.

Where a raised floor is planned, the usual pairing is electrical panels on the wall and levelling platforms on the floor: the void under the platforms takes the horizontal distribution, the electrical panel takes the vertical riser.

Availability, special sizes and delivery

Standard sizes are always in stock. We normally ship within 7 days of order confirmation and in practice almost always sooner: in exhibition work the enquiry arrives from one day to the next, and we are set up for that.

For deliveries outside Italy we agree the build-up slot, the customs paperwork where it applies and the transport documents with you in advance.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to say where the cables exit?

Yes, at order stage. Exit points and any reinforcement are set during production, while the panel is still open.

Is it available fire-rated?

Yes, on every price-list size, with the fire-performance documentation supplied with the delivery.

Can it be mixed with standard panels?

Yes. All the families share the same perimeter grooves and the same connector system.
