A modern convention centre on the edge of Dublin: level floors, straightforward lorry access, and an EU delivery with no customs step.
Citywest, on the south-western edge of Dublin, is the modern counterpart to the RDS: a purpose-built convention and exhibition centre with level floors, wide access and lorry routes designed for build-up rather than inherited from a Victorian hall. For a supplier delivering into the hall it is the easiest site in Ireland to work with.
And as everywhere in the Republic, the freight is an intra-community delivery: no customs step, no EORI, no importer of record, no duty — the same procedure as a delivery to Belgium. Specify a direct France–Ireland crossing and the consignment never touches British customs either. The contrast with Great Britain is set out here, and it is substantial.
The calendar is conference-led, with exhibition floors attached to congresses and corporate events. That has one practical consequence worth planning for: build-up slots are short, frequently overnight, and the hall has to be clean and quiet for delegates the next morning. Everything possible is done in the factory — edges, cut-outs, door hanging, cable routes — and the assembly on site is dry, with connectors and alignment rails: no glue, no saw, no dust.
Because the floors are level, raised floors here are about cable management and presence rather than about correcting a bad deck — which usually means a shallower build and a simpler specification than the same stand would need in an older hall.
What we are asked for most at this venue:
What leaves Fontanelle for a build is almost always the same package:
Standard sizes from our warehouse in the Netherlands. Our warehouse in Waalwijk holds thousands of raw honeycomb panels in standard sizes, ready to ship with no production lead time, about 100 km from the port of Rotterdam. Direct sailings from Rotterdam to Dublin keep the shipment inside the EU, with no customs step, and save the long road from Italy. More on the Waalwijk warehouse.
Made-to-measure and special versions are built in Fontanelle, province of Treviso, and that is where the lorries leave from. Dublin is roughly 1,900 km away: delivery direct to the hall in your build-up slot, or to your store if you would rather prepare the stand first.
The Republic of Ireland is in the EU: this is an intra-community delivery with no customs step, and asking for a direct France–Ireland crossing rather than the UK land bridge keeps British customs out of it entirely. The only date that matters is your build-up slot.
Standard sizes are held in stock. We normally dispatch within 7 days of order confirmation, often sooner. No minimum order, single pieces included, and no surcharge for non-standard sizes: the price of the next standard size up applies.

Yes, with the fire-performance documentation for the material supplied, at no extra charge. Read the requirement carefully in the UK: exhibitor manuals often still ask for legacy Class 1 wording to BS 476 Part 7, while the current route is BS EN 13501-1 — and the two do not convert.
