London's largest exhibition venue, and the one where build slots are tightest. We manufacture near Treviso and deliver into the hall, customs paperwork handled in advance.
ExCeL is a venue with long halls and short build windows, and the practical consequence for a contractor is that anything that can be finished before the truck leaves should be finished before the truck leaves. That is the argument for RAL-lacquered panels and doors delivered with the hardware already fitted: nobody wants to be spraying or hanging a door in a Docklands hall at two in the morning.
The second thing to settle early is the documentation. Our fire-rated finishes arrive with the fire-performance documentation for the material supplied, which is what the stand submission and the pre-opening inspection ask to see.
The shows we are most often asked to supply at this venue:
What leaves Fontanelle for a build is almost always the same package:
Standard sizes from our warehouse in the Netherlands. Our warehouse in Waalwijk holds thousands of raw honeycomb panels in standard sizes, ready to ship with no production lead time. It is about 95 km from Hook of Holland: overnight ferry to Harwich, then roughly 115 km to ExCeL London — instead of 1,450 km by road from Italy, and cheaper. UK customs formalities still apply. More on the Waalwijk warehouse.
Made-to-measure and special versions are built in Fontanelle, in the province of Treviso, and the trucks leave from there. London is 1,450 km away: a run we make regularly, with direct delivery into the hall within your build slot, or to your warehouse if you would rather pre-build the stand.
Deliveries to London sit outside the EU customs union, so the movement carries an export declaration on our side and an import entry on yours. That is a matter of a few days of lead time, not an obstacle — but it has to be planned before the truck is loaded, not while it is at the border. Tell us the consignee and the customs broker at order stage and we prepare the transport documents around them.
Standard sizes are always in stock. We normally ship within 7 days of order confirmation, and in practice usually sooner. No minimum order, no surcharge for non-standard sizes.
